But! Now that we have these kiddos around we have a fantastic excuse to start a new New Year's tradition. Jack and I made a pinata in preparation for our 2010 fete.
Jack learned to use kid scissors for the occasion. He loves to do any sort of arts or craft project. I am hoping he will inherit some of Brent's artistic sense.
People keep dogging on 2009. I suppose it was a pretty rotten year for many, many people, but since it is Sawyer's birth year it has been a wonderful year for us. I won't lie, there was a lot of anxiety about having a second child so close to the first, and the first few months with little Sawyer were difficult. He was born screaming and didn't really seem to come up for air until he was about four months old. But he has become the smiliest, happiest, most lovable little guy. Now we can't imagine life without him. So for us, 2009 was a good one.
Cassadie, I love this blog! Your photos are so beautiful, and your kids are going to cherish these stories someday.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that the little guy has come up for air and is his own happy self now. Niko was the same way.
Happy New Year! love, Sally
